We Are Here...

So consolidating into one blog hasn't increased my blogging at all. I've started quite a few posts over the past few months but finishing them just hasn't happened.

Peanut will be 5 months on Wednesday. I just can't believe it. He's so happy, smiley, giggly and he lights up like a millipn Christmas trees when his big brother is around. Nursing is going so well. Sleep on the other hand is not. He prefers to be held while sleeping. Mommy can't sleep while holding him so I'm finding myself rather tired lately. He rolled over once but I think it was kind of a fluke because it was way back in February and he hasn't done it again. Though the last few days he's spent more time on the floor and gotten halfway over a few times. His torticollis has pretty much cleared up. He's very much a Mama's boy, crying desperately if someone else is holding him for what he feels is too long(like 5 minutes most days). He's wearing mostly 6 month clothes though some 9 month fit him pretty well now too. It's funny because he is smaller than his brother was npw, weighs less, measures shorter, but wears bigger clothes. LD was a classic chubby baby while Peanut is a bit less chub as well. I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around his amazing existence. I often suddenly realize I'm a mom of two and it totally, completely throws me for a loop. Even 5 months in.

LD will be 33 months on Wednesday. He is so sweet, funny, entertaining, and charming it blows me away. He can of course, in a classically 2 year old way, be the complete opposite. His latest naughty behavior is pointing at people in public and loudly stating he doesn't like them. Very embarassing. We are torn between immediate reprimand and ignoring it altogether. I started with immediate reprimand loud enough so the person he was rudely protesting could hear, but it seems he caught on that the behavior makes us very uncomfortable and gets him immediate attention. So we are trying ignoring it. It's hard because I don't want people to assume by ignoring it I condone it. Preschool discipline is tough. He did a soccer class with a coach from London last month. Despite thinking he'd love it he wasn't really disciplined enough to pay attention to the coach. It was a 2-3yo class and there was really only 1-2 kids who got it. He knows his ABCs and can identify nearly all the letters now. He can count to 20 almost all by himself. His vocabulary increases almost exponentially every day and it is so much fun to hear him figuring out life.

I will end with some pictures and a promise to try to keep up better with my blogging.
